What to Know Before You Go
We are excited for you to join us in Silver Spring on Monday, April 17, for the Maryland and DC Metro Academies of Nutrition and Dietetics Joint Annual Meeting. We have a full day of dynamic speakers along with a poster session and exhibit area representing all areas of practice. There are several important details to be aware of before Monday.
Event Venue and Parking
We will gather at the DoubleTree by Hilton Silver Spring Washington DC North, 8777 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20910. Check-in will begin at 7:30 AM (ET) on Monday. On-site parking is available for $20 /day. The hotel is also conveniently located near the Silver Spring DC Metro station (red line).
Our event will take place on the 4th (fourth) floor. Signage will be available along with volunteers who can help direct you to our event.
Please check in at the registration desk to pick up your name tag and important conference materials.
If you are registering on-site, please bring payment in the form of credit card (preferred), check, or cash.
Event Agenda
The final agenda is posted on our website here. A hard copy of the event agenda will be available onsite. To limit disruptions during our morning presentations, a light breakfast will be served starting at 7:30 AM. Lunch will be served for all attendees beginning at 12:00 PM (ET). Dietary modifications will be provided for those submitted during the registration process.
Breakfast: fruit juices, fresh fruits, fresh baked muffins, assorted pastries & croissants; assorted bagels with cream cheese, honey, butter & preserves; brewed coffee and teas.
Lunch: Choice of boxed lunch:
- Honey brined roasted turkey, Havarti, arugula, vine ripe tomato, sundried tomato aioli on ciabatta Red bliss potato salad, shaved sweet onion, Dijon mustard, black pepper; Seasonal whole fresh fruit; Kettle potato chips; DoubleTree Cookie
- Prosciutto cotto, mortadella, salami, cherry peppers, tapenade, smoked provolone, herb olive oil, on focaccia, Heirloom tomato salad, shaved red onion, basil, ciglione mozzarella, balsamic dressing; Seasonal whole fresh fruit; Sea salt kettle chips; Biscotti
Waters and soft drinks available all day.

Business Meetings
All members or interested individuals are welcome to attend the Business Meetings for each affiliate starting at 8:00 AM.
Headshots
Juliana White Photography will be offering headshots onsite during the Joint Conference on Monday, April 17th from 7:30 AM - 5 PM.

CPEU Information & Event Evaluation
This event has been submitted to the Commission on Dietetic Registration but is still pending approval. You will receive an email after the event that includes instructions and certificates for claiming CPEUs as well as an evaluation to provide us with feedback on your experience at this year’s education event.
MAND Reception
Maryland Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is hosting a reception at the conclusion of the event in the Magnolia Ballroom at 5:00 PM. Tickets must be purchased in advance at the registration desk if you haven’t done so already. All are welcome!
DCMAND Social Hour
