2025 FARE Food Allergy Summit Event Recap
We were pleased to partner with Food Allergy Research & Education (FARE) to host an interactive networking event for RDNs in the DMV area together with those attending the 2025 FARE Food Allergy Summit at the Ronald Reagan building last month. A big thank you to Tiffany Leon and the rest of the FARE team for including us in this fun event and to Tessa Nguyen for this great photo and your event facilitation.

Caffeinate & Connect Event Recap
We welcomed in the new 2025-26 Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics year with a member event on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Doubles. Members enjoyed coffee or tea with fellow dietitians and learned about opportunities to serve on DCMAND’s Board of Directors.
Interdisciplinary Networking Event for Early Career Professionals Event Recap
In September 2024,
DCMAND partnered with several organizations to bring together a diverse group of physicians, lawyers, dentists, dietitians, veterinarians, and other emerging experts. Attendees met at The Admiral in Washington, DC for an opportunity to network and kick back. Despite the weather, the energy and ideas for future collaboration were inspiring and there was strong support for another event in 2025.
Special thanks to our partners at Medical Society of DC, Early Career Lawyers Community of the DC Bar, DC Academy of Physician Assistants, District of Columbia Dental Society, and DC Veterinary Medical Society for their efforts on this collaborative event.
Coffee & Apothecary Museum Event Recap
To kick off 2025, members met for a social event on January 26th in Alexandria, VA. Attendees connected over coffee at Tatte Bakery & Cafe followed by a guided tour at the Stabler-Leadbeater Apothecary Museum. Special thanks to our tour guide Jeff for sharing about the building's history, collection of herbal botanicals, medical equipment, and archival materials with us.

Food & Friends Event
To celebrate National Nutrition Month, members volunteered for a service day at Food & Friends on March 1st in Washington, D.C. We worked together to package over 100 medically tailored meals for clients across the city. A special thanks to Christian, Holly, and Katrina at Food & Friends for making this positive opportunity possible for our group.
