DCMADA Volunteer Opportunities
The DCMADA board has been busy! We’ve been working on our bylaws, policies, community outreach efforts, networking opportunities, web site, mentoring program, education events, and annual event planning. We’ve even gone green by making the Potomac Post a fully electronic communication.
We need your expertise to continue this good work and continue to move forward. Can you spare a few hours a month? If so, please consider volunteering for one of our open positions:
- Licensure Liaison
- Awards Chair
- New Member Liaison
- Strategic Planning
Council on Professional Issues (Division Chairs):
- Clinical Nutrition Chair
- Community Nutrition Chair
- Consultation and Private Practice Chair
- Food and Nutrition Management Chair
If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Kathryn Strong at email@example.com.
If you have already volunteered, we will be getting in touch with you soon to provide additional information.
DCMADA 2012-2013 Board Kick-Off
On the evening of Wednesday, August 29, 2012, more than 40 DCMADA members attended a Board kick-off and welcoming event at the home of Rebecca Scritchfield. President Dianne Benjamin led the brief business meeting and thanked the Board for their contributions, especially who worked over the summer. Liz Dennis, Treasurer, continued the good work of her predecessor (Erika Pijai) and opened a new bank account for the organization. The Public Policy Committee also started the work of planning for a Food Day event for 2013. Rebecca received special thanks for graciously hosting this kick-off event. Whitney Bateson and Liz Rahavi were thanked for their effort planning the kick-off meeting. I know we all look forward to another great year! Please enjoy the photos of members at the event below
