The DC Metro Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (DCMAND) is an affiliate of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, which is the world’s largest organization of food and nutrition professionals.
DCMAND is comprised of more than 300 highly skilled, multi-talented professionals and students in the DC area that are committed to improving the health of individuals and advancing the profession of dietetics through research, education, and advocacy.
The majority of our members are Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs) who have completed academic coursework, hold advanced practice certifications, obtained graduate or doctoral degrees and are credentialed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). RDNs are licensed by the District of Columbia to provide expert food and nutrition advice, information, and consultative care.
Our members represent a wide range of practice areas and interests including, but not limited to: public health, medical nutrition therapy, sports nutrition, clinical nutrition management, education, research, business, policy, and communications.

Become a Supporter
Are you already an Academy member but you’d like to be a member of DCMAND too? We are excited to offer you the opportunity to become a supporter of our organization.

Note: The only difference from an DCMAND member and supporter is that as a supporter you may not vote in DCMAND elections, serve as an elected officer, or be eligible for Academy affiliate awards for DCMAND.

- $25 for Student and Retired members
