The District of Columbia requires licensure for Dietitians working in the State. Licensing of dietitians assures the public that individuals providing nutrition advice have the appropriate education and experience. For applications and additional information on the process, please call the Department of Health Board of Dietetics/Nutrition, customer service line at 1-877-672-2174 between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 p.m. EST (Monday through Friday).Or visit their website at: http://doh.dc.gov/service/health-professionals
